Nearly 200 varieties of locally collected wild mushrooms will be on display throughout the two-day festival! Experts will be on hand to help with identification. Festival goers are encouraged to bring in their own mushroom specimens and get them identified.
Vendors will be selling all manner of fungi-related products, including fresh edible mushrooms - there's even a mushroom brew to dazzle your taste buds!
Regional experts, along with knowledgeable members of the Wild Rivers Mushroom Club, will be leading mushroom ID hikes both days. We try to schedule as many hikes as possible, and groups are kept small so that everyone will have a chance to learn. A small fee is charged for each hike.
Local, regional and national mushroom experts will conduct a variety of hands-on workshops, tickets for which will go on sale through this website starting in the fall. There will be workshops and presentations throughout the weekend on identifying, harvesting, cooking with, eating, and preserving wild mushrooms.
BE ADVISED: this venue is a few miles out of town and has limited WiFi access. Therefore, it's a good idea to have plenty of cash with you, in case the credit card readers go down during the festival...
