The huge mushroom display and vendors hall will once again be located at the Salmon Run Event Center (99040 South Bank Chetco River Road, on the grounds of Salmon Run Golf Course, just 3.5 miles east of Brookings, Oregon) - about 10 minutes from town.
Salmon Run is a championship course designed as much by nature as by man, where enthusiasts and purists alike will find a challenge for every club in their bag. A course that carries you along the path of spawning Chinook and Steelhead — and carries your game to a whole new level. Embrace the challenge and enjoy nature’s splendor!
Salmon Run is open to the public year-round. And with the new indoor/outdoor Event Center (for festivals such as the Wild Rivers Mushroom Festival), along with the accompanying restaurant, full-service bar, pro-shop, and excellent PGA teaching staff, the folks at Salmon Run are ready to make your Brookings experience something to remember!
Visit salmonrungolf.com for more info.
BE ADVISED: Salmon Run Event Center is a few miles out of town and has limited WiFi access. Therefore, we advise all festival goers to bring plenty of cash for the festival, just in case the card readers go down!!
This year, the lectures and workshops will take place in town at the Chetco Grange Community Center (97895 Shopping Center Avenue, just 10 minutes from Salmon Run). This is also where we anticipate departing on the various daily mushroom ID hikes.
The Chetco Grange Community Center is a favorite Brookings-Harbor location for concerts, dances, theatre, meetings, town halls...AND festivals. In fact, the Wild Rivers Mushroom Festival held their inaugural event at the Chetco Grange back in 2017!
The main room at the Grange is large enough to accommodate the numerous attendees who are interested in listening to and learning from mycology's best and brightest. There's also a second room that's intimate enough to host our four small hands-on workshops. Parking around the building is adequate, and we expect to have overflow parking in the nearby parking lot of the Brookings-Harbor Shopping Center, an easy 2-minute walk across Shopping Center Avenue from the Grange.
Of course, the ever popular Pacific Coast Trolley will be on hand again this year to ferry festival-goers between the two venues, Salmon Run Event Center and the Chetco Grange Community Center!
But don't be sad, because the 2024 Wild Rivers Mushroom Festival will be here before you know it!! Bookmark this website so you don't miss it, and see you November 2 & 3, 2024.. :-)
